In February of this year, I arrived in New York City with the intent of making a significant real estate investment. However, that plan was abruptly derailed by the staggering $454 million judgment against Donald Trump. This situation raised a crucial question in my mind: if they can do this to a former president, a man who has contributed to shaping this skyline, what could they do to a simple investor like me? More importantly, what will they do to you, the everyday citizen trying to make a living?
The Economic Implications
This decision doesn’t just affect me personally; it ripples out to the greater economy. The judgment could cost New York City hundreds of billions in lost tax revenues. Think about that for a moment. It’s not just about one man; it’s about the entire ecosystem that relies on the stability and growth of businesses, big and small. When trust falters, it creates a chilling effect that can halt investments and stifle growth, affecting everyone in the community.
The High Cost of Living
Have you ever noticed how life in blue Democratic cities tends to be more expensive? New York City holds the infamous title of having the highest rents, home prices, and food costs in the nation. In addition, transportation can drain your wallet, and crime is on the rise. Despite these challenges, our politicians keep asking for more taxes instead of less. Why is that? Because they rely on those taxes for their livelihoods.
A Cycle of Inefficiency
It’s hard not to feel frustrated when observing the inefficiencies in local governance. Politicians in these cities often appear to be overwhelmed, operating as tools for larger interests rather than protecting the people they are supposed to serve. It’s as if they are puppets dancing to the tune of elites, leaving the genuine needs of their constituents unmet.
The Problem with Policy Decisions
Just a bit of common sense shows us that current policies aren’t aligned with the reality on the ground. For example, welcoming 20 million illegal immigrants into a country grappling with a housing crisis doesn’t add up. It’s not just illogical; it’s detrimental to families like yours and mine.
To add insult to injury, plans to tax unrealized capital gains show a complete disconnect from economic reality. Taxing someone’s potential earnings before they’ve even realized them is simply an absurd concept. This kind of policy uncertainty only serves to further cripple the value of our dollar and has already created conditions of manufactured inflation.
A Call to Action
We have been presented with empty promises for decades, especially to the middle class. The upcoming election should be more than just a victory; it needs to be monumental. We need to rally together and aim for a landslide—100 million votes for Donald Trump, not just the 74 or 81 million that previously marked significant turnout.
Can we do it? I believe we can, but it requires all of us to rally around a chance for real change.

A century from now, they will recall the phenomenon that surrounded a collective group known as MAGA—an energized community standing firm on values we hold dear. That community aims to bring significant change and reclaim our nation’s direction, galvanizing around a leader named Donald J. Trump.
